Our lead dermatologist, Dr. Teixeira, MD PhD is a highly experienced dermatologist and skin surgeon who is well received by all her patients. In addition to the UK, she has significant worldwide experience in places such as Canada, USA, New Zealand and Mexico. Her enthusiasm and refined knowledge as a skin specialist provides patients much reassurance and delivers high level of patient satisfaction.
She is fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and is on the Specialist Register for Dermatology. In addition, Dr Teixeira is an accredited member of many international medical societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, British Association of Dermatologists, and British Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
She regularly attends local and international conferences to keep up to date with the latest evidence based medicine practises in Dermatology.
As a testimony to her passion in dermatology and depth of studies, she has to her name over 100 medical papers published covering a range of dermatological conditions. Her research skills have allowed her to perform as an honorary teaching associate at University of Cardiff Department of Dermatology, carried out clinical tutorials and lectures for medical students at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, and has also taught Dermatology and Pathology for medical students at Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago, New Zealand.
She is a trained skin specialist able to offer advice and treatment on disorders of the skin, nails and scalp (such as hair loss) as well as a skilled surgeon capable of a wide range of surgical procedures.
Given our international patient base her multilingual ability to converse fluently in six (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian) different languages places her in an enviable position, allowing her to engage with a diverse range of patients of various skin types.
